Among the flowing transnational groups in Southeast Asia, Chinese female writers are not only individual participants in the transnational flow but are also important writers on diaspora topics. Among the transnational diasporic Chinese female w订ters in Southeast Asia, such as Danying, Youjin, Yuyu, Shang Wanyun, Li Yijun, He Shufang, etc., Yifan has transnational experience in Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei. As a result, her varied diaspora w出ing is particularly typical and has distinct characteristics. On one hand, hers can be considered local writing of the Southeast Asian region which is manifested in the plots set in Kuching and Brunei as well as Nanyang University in Singapore. On the other hand, it is transnational writing, which includes writing the cultural hometown in China, plus the writing of the various nostalgic feelings that goes beyond country and ethnic groups.
