教育因时代与社会的变迁致使教师无时无刻都需要进修,独中在近年来也受到这方面的冲击,全国独中在师资培训方面都付出了相当大的努力。然而,因各种客观的关系,独中教师的教育理论水平普遍较低,师资队伍中的非师范教师的比例很大,这类教师一般未经职前培训就直接走上教师岗位,他们对教育理论固然是陌生的,而即使是师范毕业生,其教育理论水平也不算高。本文主要讨论的是马来西亚独中教师师资培育的成因问题。
Social progress demands that teachers attend regular training courses to cope with changing educational needs. The Independent Chinese Secondary Schools of Malaysia have responded by placing great emphasis on teacher training. However, many of the teachers lack a background in education and are consequently weak in pedagogical training. Without the benefit of training, many are unfamiliar with the principles of pedagogy and hence teach diffidently. The purpose of this study is to examine the factors that have contributed to the problems and difficulties in teacher training in private Chinese secondary schools.
