校园危机一一契机与转化 Campus Crisis — Opportunity and Transformation

Abstract

危机乃是产生危险与出现机会的一个中性的关键时刻。 针对潜藏的危机做好事前预防、 事中化解及事后善后的因应举措, 则可未雨绸缪, 防范危机事件的扩展;对于已经出现征兆的危机亦可有效控制及适时作危机处理, 终至危机解决。 一般人的固着观念停留在负面思考, 对危机的认识与应对采消极的避之为恐不及态度, 进而缺乏正确的认知与转化的能力, 因此探究如何将校园危机转化为契机的课题已不容忽视。 本文先从危机的定义与特性作厘清, 进而以本土的校园危机为例, 探讨管理团队的执掌与分工。 在转化能力的养成部份则将着重在教师自身的修为, 除了个人的成长与调适, 进而发挥团队的助力, 终极目标是在校园中启动最大的教育力量, 强化校园内健康与安全的氛围。

Crisis is a critical moment that would induce danger and opportunity in the same time, as such crisis could be seen as a neutral state. Strategically preventing, intervening as well as dealing with the aftermath of the potential crisis is crucial for reducing the danger of the crisis. On the other hand, if the crisis do occurred, one should manage and control the crisis and implement the crisis intervention to resolve the crisis. In general, people (especially in education setting) held negative attitude towards crisis, some of them even go to the extend that trying to avoid it as soon as possible and as many as possible. Thus, they lost the opportunities to learn how to transform the crisis into opportunity. As such, it is important to address and to explore the issue of the transformation of campus crisis into opportunity. In this essay, I will first clarify the definition and characteristics of crisis, and then I will use some local crisis incidents as examples to demonstrate the management as well as the workloads of a school crisis team. After that, I will talk about how to increase or maximize the campus health and safety by helping the school crisis team members (e.g. teachers) to grow personally and adapt to such crisis situation (i.e. by transforming the danger to an opportunity). Once the members grow出and learnt, they will enhance the ability of the crisis team.
