叶亚来一一巫华共同拥有的珍贵历史文化遗产 Yap Ah Loy: The Common Precious Historical and Cultural Heritage of Malaysia's Ethnic Chinese and Malay

清代移民海外的华人多在欠发达地区落脚并成为许多城市的开埠者，此乃历史使然。“甲必丹叶亚来是吉隆坡开埠元勋”，这是历史定论，不容篡改，亦无可动摇。叶亚来，是马来西亚各族合作建国的一面伟大旗帜，是巫华共同拥有的珍贵历史文化遗产。马来西亚巫华两族合则双赢，离则俱损。如何在这一点上达成共识，有待马来西亚各族有识之士继续共同努力。华族可以借鉴中国的一些经验教训，将心比心，耐心期待友族“心态转变，思想开放，观念突破＂的那一天。
