钱穆《论十翼非孔子所作》平议 On Qian Mu’s Ten Arguments Against Confucius’ Authorship of the Yizhuan

Abstract

孔子与《易传》的关系为如何，为中国学术史的一大公案。此议题从民初论辩至今，尤以钱穆的“孔子与《易传》无关”说，在论证上最具系统也最全面，故对学界的影响极大，至今不衰。本论文旨在对钱氏所提的十条论点及其论据作深入检验，结果发觉这十条证据都存有破绽与可疑之处，因而对其结论有所保留。

The relationship between Confucius and Yizhuan (Commentaries on the Yijing) has been debated by scholars for a long time. Of all, Qian Mu was the first one systematically proposed that Yizhuanis irrelevant with Confucius during the Mingguo period. Since then, his point of view greatly affects Yijing Studies until today. This paper attempts to deeply reexamine Qian view’s ten textual evidences and arguments. It is concluded that Qian’s belief is in fact invalid and therefore the related conclusion should be doubtful.
