华小华文课堂评估初探:教师的看法、实践与挑战 A Preliminary Study on Chinese Language Classroom Assessment in Chinese Primary School: Teachers’ Perspectives, Practices and Challenges

课堂评估乃课程改革的一大关键,其重要性随着教育部于2019年废除小学一至三年级考试和2020年取消六年级检定考试后越发凸显。教师作为教育界的前线人员对于课堂评估的理解、态度和实践最直接地影响落实课堂评估体系的成败。因此,本次研究以课堂评估的关键元素为基础,通过线上问卷对108位华小华文教师进行调查。量化数据分析结果显示教师意识并了解他们自己在课堂评估过程中的责任、学生的责任和学生学习作为课堂评估的基础。多元化的评估方法已是教师当前课堂不可分割的一环。教师在实践课堂评估的过程中所面对的挑战必须受到正视和解决,即网络教学的缺陷、学生态度和程度的问题、时间不足的挑战和评估结果受限制,才能达到落实课堂评估体系的目标。
Classroom assessment is a crucial factor in curriculum reform. Its importance became prominent with the abolishment of primary one to three examination in year 2019 and primary six UPSR in year 2020. Being the frontliners in education, teachers’ understanding, attitudes and practices towards classroom assessment would influence the outcome implementation of such system. Therefore, this study conducted survey research of 108 Chinese language teachers from Chinese primary schools based on the key elements of classroom assessment by using online questionnaire. Quantitative data analysis showed that teachers recognize and understand their own responsibility during classroom assessment, student responsibility and student learning as the basis of classroom assessment. The diversified evaluation methods have become an integral part of teachers’ current classrooms. The challenges faced by teachers in the process of classroom assessment must be reviewed and resolved, including the shortcomings of online teaching and learning, the students’ attitude and academic level issues, the lack of time challenge and the restriction of the evaluation results. Only by then, the target to implement the classroom assessment system can be achieved.
