Abstract

In the context of globalization, the international status of Chinese is becoming increasingly important. In the process of promoting Chinese, the effectiveness of teaching methods plays a crucial role. Task-Based Language Teaching, as an effective teaching method, is not only widely applicable to teaching Chinese as a second language but can also be flexibly adjusted according to the background and needs of learners. This study focuses on teachers in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and analyzes the value of task-based teaching methods in promoting Chinese language education through observation and interviews. The research results highlight the importance and feasibility of the Task-Based Language Teaching approach for non-Chinese Indonesian learners. It offers a new teaching paradigm in the field of teaching Chinese as a second language, providing a more practical and feasible learning path for these learners.
